The Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) says it will honour outstanding employers and organisations across Nigeria at the fifth edition of its Employers’ Excellence Awards in November.
In a statement on Sunday, the association said the 2026 awards would recognise organisations demonstrating excellence in enterprise, workplace practices, leadership, innovation, employee development, good governance and responsible employment.
The awards are themed, “Celebrating Excellence in Enterprise, Leadership and Responsible Employment.”
NECA said the awards have become a platform for recognising organisations that combine business success with responsible leadership, investment in employees and contributions to society.
It added that the awards would also celebrate employers with strong records in employee welfare, diversity and inclusion, corporate social responsibility, innovation and sustainable enterprise development.
Adewale-Smatt Oyerinde, director-general of NECA, said the initiative provides an opportunity to showcase organisations setting high standards in the Nigerian business environment.
“The Employers’ Excellence Awards has become a beacon of inspiration for businesses in Nigeria.
“It provides an opportunity to celebrate organisations that demonstrate that enterprise success can go hand in hand with responsible employment, strong leadership, innovation and investment in people,” Oyerinde said.
He said the theme of the 2026 edition reflected NECA’s commitment to recognising employers contributing meaningfully to Nigeria’s economic development.
The association said the awards are open to employers across sectors, regardless of their size, industry or operational context.
According to NECA, participation is free and will allow organisations to showcase their achievements, benchmark their workplace practices and gain recognition for the value they create for employees, businesses and society.
The awards ceremony is expected to attract business leaders, chief executive officers, human resources professionals, policymakers and other stakeholders.
NECA said the event would also provide opportunities for networking, knowledge exchange and strategic partnerships.
The association called on employers across the country to submit nominations for the various award categories ahead of the November ceremony in Lagos.
