By DEborah

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has closed the online registration portal for the third phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI III), bringing the nationwide application process to an end.

The Director-General of the NDE, Silas Agara, announced the closure in a statement issued in Abuja.

Agara said the portal, launched on July 23 by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Muhammed Dingyadi, officially closed at 4:00 p.m. on July 30.

He explained that the registration period had been extended by one day following minor technical disruptions experienced on July 25, allowing all eligible applicants sufficient time to complete their registration.

According to Agara, the directorate will immediately commence the collation, verification, and assessment of applications received during the registration exercise.

He said successful applicants would be selected in accordance with the programme guidelines and notified through the NDE’s official communication channels.

Agara thanked Nigerians for the overwhelming interest shown in the programme and commended applicants for their patience and cooperation throughout the registration process.

He assured applicants that the selection process would be transparent, fair, and merit-based.
Agara also urged applicants to disregard false information and individuals claiming they could influence the selection process.

He reaffirmed the directorate’s commitment to implementing the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative by providing unemployed Nigerians with opportunities for skills acquisition, entrepreneurship development, and sustainable livelihoods.
