The Police Service Commission (PSC) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have scheduled the written examination phase of the ongoing police constable recruitment for April 28 to 30 nationwide.
In a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja, the Commission confirmed that the exercise will take place at designated centres across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), covering both general duty and specialist applicants.
The statement, signed by Torty Kalu, clarified that only candidates who successfully completed the earlier physical and credentials screening are eligible to participate in the examination.
Eligible applicants have been advised to access the recruitment portal from April 24 to download their invitation slips, which will indicate their examination date, time, and centre.
The Commission further directed candidates to report to their assigned centres with a pen, their National Identification Number (NIN) slip bearing a clear photograph issued by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), and a printed copy of their invitation card.
Applicants are also required to wear white shorts, a white T-shirt, and white canvas shoes for the examination.
Reaffirming its commitment to transparency and merit-based recruitment, the PSC cautioned applicants against engaging in inducements or third-party arrangements, stressing that the process is entirely free.
“The recruitment process is entirely free and warns that any form of job racketeering, scams, or financial inducement will be met with the full force of the law,” the statement added.
