The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) has published the shortlist for its 2026 recruitment exercise and asked successful applicants to prepare for a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

In a notice released on Wednesday and signed by the Director of Human Resources, ACG Issaka Ahmed, the agency said candidates can now confirm their application status online.

“The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service wishes to inform all applicants and members of the public that the status of applications is now available for checking on the official recruitment portal,” the notice stated.

NAQS said the next stage will be conducted online through the same portal.

“Applicants whose status indicates progression to the next stage are hereby notified to prepare for the Computer-Based Test (CBT), which will be held online via the recruitment portal from Thursday, 20th August 2026,” the agency said.

It added that individual test schedules and other instructions would be sent directly to applicants through their registered email addresses.

The agency also cautioned candidates against fraud and fake information.

“Applicants are advised to remain vigilant and rely only on official information from the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service,” it said.

The recruitment portal was opened on July 28 and closed on August 10. According to NAQS, the exercise drew 606,928 attempted applications, with 407,659 successfully submitted.

The release of the shortlist had earlier been postponed from August 13 to allow for what the agency described as a thorough and transparent process.
