Ecobank, Verve Launch ₦20m InnovateX Programme to Develop Young Nigerian Talent

By Samuel Ogunsona

Ecobank Nigeria, in collaboration with Verve, has launched InnovateX 2026, a nationwide platform aimed at equipping young Nigerians with funding, training and exposure to build solutions in finance and the creative sector.

The challenge is targeting youths between 16 and 25, including students, startup founders, creatives and tech builders.

Winners will share ₦20 million in prizes, and all finalists will get access to mentorship, business coaching and networking.

According to Ecobank, the programme is focused on spotting early-stage talent and helping them scale ideas that can drive inclusive growth.

Participants will go through a structured programme that includes virtual and physical bootcamps, masterclasses with industry experts, one-on-one mentorship and a final pitch event where top ideas will be presented to a panel of judges and investors.

Speaking on the initiative, an Ecobank representative said the goal is to give young people practical support, not just capital.

“Whether you are developing a tech solution, building a creative brand, or working on an innovation that can improve lives, InnovateX provides a valuable platform to showcase your potential and accelerate your journey towards success,” the statement said.

The bank noted that the partnership with Verve is designed to bridge the gap between raw talent and market-ready businesses by combining financial backing with skills development and access to networks.

Registration for InnovateX 2026 is now open to eligible Nigerians across the country.
