PalmPay Focuses on Job Creation for Young Nigerians Through Digital Skills

By Samuel Ogunsona

PalmPay says it is focusing on job creation for young Nigerians as part of efforts to reduce youth unemployment and strengthen the digital economy.

Speaking during this year’s International Youth Day, Managing Director of PalmPay Nigeria, Chika Nwosu, said fintech is investing in programs that connect young people to work opportunities.

“Nigeria’s young population is one of its greatest assets, but unlocking its potential requires access to the right skills, knowledge and opportunities,” he said.

“At PalmPay, we are committed to equipping young Nigerians to learn, earn and thrive in an increasingly digital economy. We believe that investing in young people today is an investment in a stronger, more inclusive Nigeria.”

The company noted that giving graduates workplace exposure and corps members financial training can directly translate to jobs and career growth.

According to PalmPay, when young people are equipped with digital skills and professional experience, they become employable and positioned to lead businesses in the future.
