Former First Lady of Imo State and founder of the Women of Divine Destiny Initiative (WODDI), Mrs. Zinariya Nneoma Rochas Okorocha, has announced that the organisation will unveil a digital application on Saturday aimed at educating and empowering women in Nigeria and across Africa.
According to Okorocha, the WODDI Institute App will serve as an online learning platform accessible to women irrespective of their educational background.
“The organisation has already reached more than 3,000 women in Nigeria and is currently active in several other African countries,” she said.
She explained that the platform was designed to equip women with practical knowledge and vocational skills that would enable them to become financially independent and contribute meaningfully to economic development.
Okorocha added that the application had been structured to allow users to learn at their own pace and in languages they are most comfortable with.
“One of the things we want to achieve is to ensure that every woman matters. One of our slogans is that no woman should be left behind. We are structured in such a way that, whether a woman is educated or not, she will be able to study at her own pace and choose the language most suitable for her,” she stated.
“If a user does not want to study in English, she may choose Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, or any other preferred language,” she added.
Okorocha noted that WODDI has spent the past 17 years organising workshops, empowerment summits, and skill-acquisition programmes focused on improving women’s livelihoods and economic participation.
