The Nigerian Air Force has kicked off applications for its 2026 enlistment drive, calling on eligible Nigerians to apply for positions as tradesmen/women and non-tradesmen/women.
According to a notice shared on the Service’s X handle on Wednesday, the portal will be open for six weeks.
“The Nigerian Air Force has announced the commencement of its 2026 recruitment exercise for qualified Nigerians seeking enlistment as tradesmen/women and non-tradesmen/women,” the NAF stated.
Registration is scheduled to run from September 3 to October 14, 2026, for the Basic Military Training Course 47/2026.
“NAF Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 47/2026 Recruitment Exercise is scheduled to commence on 3 September 2026, with online registration opening for suitably qualified Nigerians interested in joining the Service as Tradesmen/Women and Non-Tradesmen/Women,” the notice read.
The Air Force listed basic eligibility requirements for interested applicants. Citizenship by birth is mandatory. Height requirements are set at a minimum of 1.66 metres for male candidates and 1.63 metres for female candidates.
Age limits differ by category. For tradesmen/women, applicants must be between 18 and 27 years old by March 1, 2027. For non-tradesmen/women, the age bracket is 18 to 22 years by the same date.
