The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has called upon the Next of Kin (NOK) of deceased Civil Service pensioners under the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS) to submit outstanding documentation required to process their unpaid pension entitlements. The appeal applies specifically to those whose names appear on a list recently published by the Directorate.
In an official notification, PTAD confirmed that affected beneficiaries have already been alerted via SMS. The Directorate has urged all named Next of Kin to review the prescribed list of required documents and forward any missing items without delay, to prevent further hold-ups in the release of the benefits owed.
According to the statement, the documentation exercise forms an integral part of the verification and settlement process for outstanding pension liabilities owed to the estates of deceased Civil Service retirees who were contributors to the Defined Benefit Scheme.
PTAD has directed all eligible Next of Kin to submit the requisite paperwork exclusively through its designated official email channels: registryptad@gmail.com and cspdcomplaints@ptad.gov.ng. The Directorate also encouraged individuals with inquiries relating to the exercise to reach out directly for further guidance.
In a parallel advisory, PTAD issued a stern warning to the public regarding the activities of fraudsters. The Directorate emphasised that it would never request ATM card numbers, PINs, One-Time Passwords (OTPs), or any form of payment in order to process pension benefits.
Beneficiaries have been advised to treat any such requests as suspicious and to communicate solely through PTAD’s verified official channels.
