CDCFIB Warns Applicants Against Fake Screening Notices

By Samuel Ogunsona

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has dismissed reports of a screening exercise scheduled for April 15 in Kano, describing the information as false and misleading.

The Board’s Public Relations Officer, Ms. Juliet Okeh, urged applicants to disregard the reports and remain vigilant against fraudulent schemes.

“We advise the public to be cautious and avoid falling victim to fraudsters,” Okeh said, emphasising that all official updates regarding the recruitment process would be communicated exclusively through verified channels.

The CDCFIB had earlier announced that shortlisted candidates for physical screening and document verification would be released between December 1 and 3, 2025. However, the exercise was subsequently postponed, with no new date announced.
