Katsina to Recruit 4,000 Teachers, Medical Staff to Boost Public Services

By Samuel Ogunsona

Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has announced plans to recruit 4,000 workers — comprising 2,000 medical personnel and 2,000 teachers — to strengthen staffing levels in hospitals and schools across the state.

As part of the exercise, the state government is set to issue employment letters to more than 1,000 medical workers who have already completed the recruitment process.

The planned hiring is aimed at addressing manpower shortages in public healthcare facilities and schools statewide.

According to Gov. Radda, “This recruitment exercise is aimed at addressing manpower gaps in our schools and ensuring that every child in Katsina has access to quality education.”

He said the initiative aligns with his administration’s broader agenda of improving public service delivery while creating employment opportunities for youths and qualified professionals.

The governor urged members of the verification and recruitment committees to conduct the process with transparency, fairness, and professionalism.

“The move would help stabilise the education system and improve learning outcomes,” he added.

Radda also called on residents to support the exercise, noting that adequately staffed health and education sectors are critical to the state’s development.

“Adequately staffed health and education sectors are critical to the state’s development,” the governor said.
