A new collaboration between You Against Crime International (YACI) and the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) is set to promote youth empowerment and human rights awareness across Nigeria.
The partnership was initiated during Mr. Tayo Folorunsho’s visit to the NHRC headquarters in Abuja on February 19, 2026. It is designed to advance youth empowerment, human rights education, and community development nationwide.
The NHRC Director commended YACI’s efforts in promoting human rights and empowering young people, and affirmed the Commission’s readiness to provide technical expertise in support of the organisation’s initiatives.
“Our meeting with YACI was very productive,” the Director said. “We look forward to collaborating with them to promote human rights awareness and empower Nigerian youth.”
The partnership is expected to strengthen YACI’s outreach and expand its impact in youth empowerment and community development.
YACI is a youth-led organisation dedicated to empowering young people and fostering sustainable community development in Nigeria.
The NHRC also called for a comprehensive, rights-based approach to youth empowerment, stressing the importance of equipping young people with quality education, healthcare, and leadership opportunities to drive sustainable national development.
