The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Nyesom Wike, has approved the promotion of more than 2,000 staff of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) following a Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted on November 29, 2025.

The approval was announced on Wednesday in Abuja by Mr. Emeka Ezeh, Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, who said the decision underscored the Minister’s commitment to staff welfare and career progression within the FCT civil service.

Mr. Ezeh disclosed that the promotions spanned 165 staff cadres across the FCTA and FCDA. He urged civil servants to remain diligent and committed to their duties, emphasising that advancement would continue to be based strictly on merit through the CBT process.

According to him, only hardworking and dedicated employees would qualify for promotion, noting that the assessment system was designed to reward competence and professionalism.

“This promotion is a clear demonstration of the Minister’s dedication to rewarding merit and ensuring career growth for our staff,” Mr. Ezeh said.
