UNICEF Invites Proposals to Boost Youth Skills and Jobs in Nigeria’s Health Manufacturing Sector

United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Nigeria has invited proposals from qualified and experienced implementing partners to support a nationwide youth empowerment initiative.

The programme is designed to strengthen youth skills development, mentorship, and sustainable employment pathways within the health, pharmaceutical, and nutrition commodities manufacturing sectors.

According to UNICEF, the initiative aims to equip young Nigerians with industry-relevant technical skills, connect them to mentorship and apprenticeship opportunities, and foster strong linkages with employers to promote decent work and long-term career growth across critical manufacturing value chains in Nigeria.

Part of the application notice states: “Organisations with strong technical expertise, established private-sector and employer partnerships, and demonstrated experience in youth livelihood, workforce development, or skills-to-employment programmes are encouraged to apply.”

The programme aligns with UNICEF’s objectives of promoting youth empowerment, strengthening local manufacturing capacity, and supporting inclusive economic growth, while reinforcing Nigeria’s health and nutrition systems.

Details of the request for proposals indicate that engagement will be on a Long-Term Agreement (LTA) contract basis, in line with the attached Terms of Reference (ToR).

Proposals must include technical, financial, evaluation, and bidder past-experience documentation.

Interested partners are required to submit their proposals to UNICEF Nigeria’s official electronic bid box at ngrsupply@unicef.org, attention: Supply and Logistics Section.

The application deadline is 26 February 2026, and submissions must be made exclusively through the указан email address.

The initiative presents an opportunity for qualified organisations to contribute meaningfully to youth empowerment and Nigeria’s broader economic development.
