By Samuel Ogunsona

The Jigawa State Police Command has announced the commencement of physical and credentials screening for applicants seeking recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force.

The screening exercise will take place from March 9 to April 18, 2026, at the Police State Headquarters in Dutse.

According to the command’s spokesperson, SP Shiisu Lawan, applicants are advised to visit the recruitment portal to check their application status and print the required documents for presentation at the screening venue.

“The Jigawa State Police Command informs applicants that physical and credentials screening for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force will begin on March 9, 2026,” he said.

Applicants are required to appear strictly on the date indicated on their invitation slips, dressed in white canvas shoes, a white T-shirt, white shorts, and white stockings.

They must also present the required documents, including their application submission slip, physical screening form, invitation slip with table number, and credentials screening form.

The State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Dahiru Muhammad, emphasised that the recruitment process is completely free.

“The recruitment process is completely free, and the public should report anyone demanding money,” Lawan quoted him as saying.

The command urged applicants to cooperate fully with officials to ensure a smooth and successful screening exercise.

It added that candidates who fail to present the required documents, appear improperly dressed, or arrive outside their scheduled dates will not be allowed to participate.
