The Federal Government has intensified efforts to empower young Nigerians through a strategic partnership with Stratcomm Consulting, formalised by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The collaboration is designed to strengthen youth empowerment initiatives and promote sustainable development nationwide.
Speaking at the signing ceremony in Abuja, the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, underscored the critical role of effective communication in ensuring that government initiatives achieve both visibility and measurable impact.
“The Ministry remains resolute in fostering strategic partnerships that empower Nigerian youths, promote innovation, and advance sustainable socio-economic growth. This agreement reflects the Government’s commitment to promoting youth-led initiatives, enhancing strategic communication, and deepening evidence-based engagement in youth development programmes,” he said.
The partnership is expected to harness innovation, strengthen institutional capacity, and deliver measurable outcomes for young Nigerians.
It also aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which prioritises public–private partnerships and inter-ministerial collaboration as key drivers of national development.
According to Mr. Oyekan Adeoloyin, Director of the Youth Migration & Climate Action Resilience Department, the collaboration is both timely and forward-looking, as it addresses mounting national and global challenges relating to youth mobility, economic migration, and environmental sustainability. He noted that while Nigerian youths are significantly affected by climate change and migration pressures, they also remain critical drivers of innovative and sustainable solutions.
Dr. Kayode Olanorin, Managing Director of Stratcomm Consulting, described the partnership as strategic and timely, commending the Ministry’s innovative approach to communication.
He observed that traditional engagement methods were no longer sufficient, adding that the Ministry’s creativity would sustain youth interest and participation in its programmes.
