The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has opened applications for its 2026 recruitment exercise, inviting qualified candidates from member states, including Nigeria, to apply for a range of positions across the region.
The regional bloc said the recruitment drive is aimed at strengthening its sectoral programmes and enhancing institutional capacity across key operational areas.
Available roles within Nigeria include Office Aide, Programme Assistant, Nurse, and several administrative and professional positions, most of which are based in Abuja.
Opportunities outside Nigeria include Administrative and Finance Officer roles in Addis Ababa, as well as a Principal Programme Officer position in Conakry.
Applicants are required to meet specified age criteria: a maximum of 35 years for General Services roles, 45 years for Professional positions, and 50 years for Director-level appointments.
ECOWAS encouraged female candidates to apply, noting that only shortlisted applicants would be contacted for the next stage of the recruitment process.
Prospective applicants are required to download the official application form, attach a curriculum vitae and a motivation letter, and submit their applications via the designated email addresses before the deadline of April 30, 2026.
“All applications must include the application form, CV, and a cover letter. Applications that do not contain all mandatory documents will not be considered,” the organisation stated.
