The Continental Hotels Group Nigeria has unveiled plans to empower its female staff as part of activities to mark the 2026 International Women’s Day.
The initiative forms part of the group’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, themed ‘Give to Gain’.
Its flagship properties in Abuja and Lagos will host a series of events underscoring the organisation’s commitment to gender equality, professional development, and women’s empowerment.
Activities lined up for the celebration include expert-led sessions on mental health, work–life balance, and holistic well-being strategies tailored to the hospitality industry. There will also be panel discussions featuring female leaders who will share their experiences of empowerment and mentorship.
Women employees will receive wellness kits and personalisedtokens of recognition in appreciation of their contributions.
The Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing, Mr. Richard Mutanda, expressed enthusiasm about the celebration.
“Let’s celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of our incredible women at Abuja Continental and Lagos Continental hotels. Together, we foster a culture of empowerment and mutual support,” he said.
Mr. Mutanda added that the ‘Give to Gain’ theme highlights the reciprocal value of generosity.
“The ‘Give to Gain’ theme emphasises that acts of generosity yield mutual benefits, encouraging individuals to invest in others and recognising that such contributions uplift communities and enhance personal growth, resilience, and satisfaction,” he said.
The Continental Hotels Group said it aims to set a benchmark for inclusivity within Nigeria’s hospitality sector through its sustained commitment to empowering women.
