CIPM Announces 58th International Conference in Abuja, Opens Registration

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) has announced the theme, dates, and commencement of registration for its 58th International Conference and Exhibition, scheduled to take place from Monday, 21 to Thursday, 24 September 2026, in Abuja.The event, described as Africa’s largest gathering of human resource professionals and business leaders, will be held under the theme, “Repositioning for Value and Impact”.

Announcing the development, the Institute said the conference is designed to support organisations and HR leaders in rethinking strategy, strengthening workforce capabilities, and repositioning their practices to deliver measurable value in a rapidly changing global environment. Thousands of delegates from across Africa and beyond are expected to attend.

Speaking on the significance of the conference, the President and Chairman of the Governing Council of CIPM, Ahmed Ladan Gobir, FCIPM, fnli, said the 58th edition would provide practical tools and actionable insights to help organisations navigate economic, technological, and socio-political shifts.

“The theme, ‘Repositioning for Value and Impact’, reflects our commitment to equipping HR professionals and business leaders with the capabilities required to drive performance, resilience, and sustainable growth. This conference will once again set the tone for the future of people management across Africa,” Gobir said.

CIPM, the only statutory regulatory body for human resource management practice in Nigeria, described the International Conference and Exhibition as its flagship annual event. According to the Institute, the conference serves as a strategic platform for knowledge exchange, policy dialogue, professional development, and business networking.

Participants at the four-day event will take part in keynote addresses, plenary sessions, panel discussions, masterclasses, exhibitions, and networking opportunities. The Institute said renowned local and international speakers will lead discussions on leadership, workforce transformation, digitalisation, organisational effectiveness, productivity, and sustainable development.
